1st Alliance VBC has had over 416 athletes playing volleyball in college since 1999. In the past 10 years, we have averaged over 25 athletes playing volleyball in college, which Ranks 2nd in the Nation according to RichKern.com! 1st Alliance VBC is also Ranked #3 in the Nation for number of D1-Level athletes since we began.
Club Director of the Year: Susan Keck (1st Alliance Volleyball Club)
1st Alliance Volleyball Club has 80 teams in both genders on the indoor court and sand with a total of 115 coaches. Now in its 25th year, the club has had a record-breaking 2019 with 14 teams earning bids into USAV Nationals. Her club has had over 415 athletes go on to play volleyball at the college level since 1999, making them one of the best in the nation in placing their high school aged players into the most appropriate institutions of higher learning. She also focuses on improving her own staff by inviting Division I coaches to demonstrate and speak with them via eight weeks of clinics.
When tragedy struck the club with the passing of one of her players, Beth Dunlap, Keck helped unite the community with compassion and leadership. She led the charge in raising $20,000 to support the Beth Dunlap 18 Fund to benefit underprivileged volleyball players.
