About the Lions Jrs. Winter League
The Lions Jrs. Winter League is a no-cut, in-house volleyball league for boys and girls up through 3-7th grade.
Teams are coached by 1st Alliance VBC- affiliated club players and experienced parent coaches, with practices run by Lions Jrs. staff.
The Lions Jrs. Winter League has experienced tremendous growth since its inception in 2008, with hundreds of players and dozens of teams competing annually.

Lions Jrs will offer in-house teams for 6th and 7th graders to sign up for. Register on your own or with friends! There will be approximately 10 players per team. We anticipate that these teams will ALL fill up, so sign-up early!! All players will receive playing time in every match, on all teams.
Season: Jan 7th– April 29th
Practices & Games: Sunday evenings for approx. 2-2.25 hrs.
Location: 1st Alliance/Lions Jrs Training Facility 1000 Davey Rd #600, Woodridge, IL
Format: Clinic style practices followed by one scheduled match per week (matches will start after a few weeks of practice).
Additional Match Play: Two additional tournaments will be scheduled within the season.
Cost: $450 (non-refundable after 12/5/17) Includes all fees, coaching expenses, gym rentals, tournament fees, tshirt & spandex.

First practice for 11s In-House is: Sunday, Jan. 7th from 4-5:15pm at the MAX
(most 5th graders)
There will be approximately eight in-house teams available to sign up for. (approximately 10 players per team) These teams ALL filled up last year, so sign-up early!! All players will receive playing time in every match, on all teams.
Season Length: Jan 7th– April 22nd
Practices: The following practice options are available for In-house teams starting in January. All teams practice on Sundays in January.
Beginning in February one practice day per week, and one game per week through April.
Sunday practice for (ALL teams) will be at @ either Lyons Township H.S. (South Campus) or at the MAX for 1.5 hrs in Jan. usually mid afternoon.

Tuesdays @Lyons Township North Campus 7:00-8:30pm
Tuesdays @Timothy Christian Middle School 7-8:30pm
Tuesdays @Max 4:30-6pm
Wednesdays @1st Alliance in Woodridge 4:30-6pm
Thursdays@Lyons Township North Campus 7:00-8:30pm
Match Play: One in-house match Sundays (usually mid afternoon) starting in Feb. at either the MAX or Lyons Township H.S. (South Campus), along with a season ending tourney at the MAX. Modified scoring will be used for several league games to encourage multiple contacts!

First practice for 10s In-House is: Sunday, Jan. 7th from 5:25-6:30pm at the MAX
(most 3rd-4th graders)
When: Online registration is open NOW!
Cost: $495 (non-refundable after 12/5/17) Includes all fees, t-shirt & spandex.
Lions Jrs. is planning to carry eight-ten 10& under teams with approximately 7 players per team. Each player will receive playing time in every match on all teams. Teams will play 4vs4 on a smaller court, with a lighter ball and shorter net.
Choose from beginner league, most 3rd graders (CATCH) OR
4th grade (NO Catch) League (for those that have played several seasons of catch but are not ready to play 6 vs 6 on the bigger ct.
If your daughter can serve overhand from the endline she might want to consider the 5th grade league.
Practice: Begins on Sun. 1/7 and will average twice a week for one hour in January and once per week Feb through the end of April. All teams will practice on Sunday afternoons in January at the Max or LTSC. Space is LIMITED and most sessions filled up last year.

Mon. 4:30-5:30 (NO CATCH leagues) @the MAX in McCook
Mon. 7-8:15pm (BOTH Leagues) @ Timothy Christian Elmhurst
Tues. 6-7pm (CATCH league) @LT North Campus (FULL)
Wed. 4:45-5:45 (Both Leagues) @1st Alliance Facility in Woodridge
Thurs. 6-7pm (4th No Catch) @LT North Campus
Thurs. 6:45-7:45 (Both leagues) @GlenCrest in Glen Ellyn
Fri. 6-7pm (Both Leagues) @Lyons Township South Campus
Coaches: A combination of experienced Parent coaches and high school and college volleyball players will coach each team
Game Play: One in-house match Sunday afternoons at the Max or LTSC starting in February.
Modified scoring will be used for several weeks during the league games to encourage multiple contacts!
Player expectations and goals: To improve volleyball skills, be part of a team while having FUN and prepare for upper level club and school volleyball.

- Weekday practices begin 2/20
- Practices options are Tuesdays or Thursdays at the MAX or Wednesdays in Woodridge
- Practice or games will be on Sunday mid-late afternoons (2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, during the week of 4/1, Season Ending Tournament 4/8)
- Roster size is approximately 6-8 players. They play 4 on the court.
- Parent Coaches with a Lead Lions Coach will make up the staff. (if interested in coaching contact email@example.com)
- Lions Juniors has a NO Refund policy on all programs unless a doctor's note is submitted saying the individual is unable to participate due to an injury.
